Emmerdale preview: what's in store this week

Emmerdale, ITV1

Andy rows with Jo

Every weekday

Jo’s torment at Andy’s hands continues this week when the farm boy flies into a rage after he spots daughter Sarah wearing a top that Debbie bought her. Having knocked his wife to the ground a few weeks ago, Andy now takes a different tack and breaks her wrist instead.

When Jo comes back from hospital, Andy’s full of remorse – but his candle-lit pasta dinner doesn’t do much to help the healing process. His bad temper flares up again on Friday when Jo begs him not to sell her goats after discovering they weren’t the source of the E.coli outbreak. Hmmm… if that girl’s got any sense at all she’ll run for the hills.

Elsewhere, Gray tries to convince Katie that Perdy should be involved in the baby’s upbringing. Needless to say, Katie’s not having any of it – and she erupts in fury when she discovers Gray’s been seeing his estranged wife on the sly. But it seems that Katie’s been keeping a secret of her own – and, over a drink with Chas, she reveals that she’s planning to get her revenge by running away with the baby.

Meanwhile, Viv’s private investigator tracks down a key witness, and Val prepares The Woolpack for the Village Pub of the Year contest.
